Head Injuries Overview

Trauma to the head can cause injury to the scalp, skull, or brain. Brain injuries are extremely dangerous and are often fatal.

A head injury is often associated with a neck injury. As a result, the neck should be stabilized by placing soft packing material on each side of the head and neck to prevent side-to-side motion, and movement should be avoided.
