Asperger's Syndrome (Asperger Syndrome, Asperger Disorder): Asperger syndrome, also known as Asperger's disorder, Asperger's syndrome, or AS, is a pervasive developmental disorder. Asperger syndrome is characterized as one of the autism spectrum disorders. The cause of Asperger syndrome is not known. Symptoms of Asperger syndrome include social problems, abnormal communication patterns, sensory sensitivity, motor skill delays. People with Asperger syndrome may also have associated psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, OCD, depression or other mood disorders. Treatment for Asperger syndrome is through occupational and behavioral therapy and often medication to manage symptoms.

Autism Autism is a complex behaviorally defined developmental disorder with three core features: 1) impaired reciprocal social interaction, 2) impaired communication, and 3) restricted use of interests, behaviors, and activities.
