Bad Breath (Halitosis): Bad breath (halitosis) can be caused by a variety of things including diet, medication, poor oral hygiene, and diseases or conditions such as diabetes, GERD, lactose intolerance, gum disease, and more. Treatment for bad breath depends on the cause.
Sinus Infection Sinus infection (sinusitis), is an inflammation of the sinuses and nasal passages. Causes of sinus infections are a result of a viral upper respiratory tract infection (colds), bacterial infections (strep), or fungi. Symptoms of a sinus infection include nasal congestion, pain or pressure in areas of the face or head, coughing, fever, sinus headache, and more. Treatment of a sinus infection is generally with antibiotics. Home remedies include OTC nasal sprays or oral decongestants and the use of a saline nasal irrigation system.
