How does Betony work?

It is thought that the chemicals in betony act as a drying medicine when used topically. They may also decrease blood pressure, reduce anxiety, and decrease headaches.

Are there safety concerns?

There is not enough information about betony to know if it is safe to take. It might cause stomach upset in some people.

Do not take betony if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You are scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks.
