I slipped on the tiles and tore my hamstring. After two days I now have black bruising at the back of my thigh and bruising on both sides of knee and half way down my leg. There is swelling at the knee.

A 20-pound weight plate fell on my big toe. No broken bones. It was just squashed and now it's badly bruised.

I tripped and fell in a hole on some shallow stairs, hitting my shin on the stone step. It is extremely swollen, sore & bruised. I am taking ibuprofen, icing the shin, and elevating it.

I have what I call old people's 'bruises. They are "blotches" that appear on my arms between my elbow and wrist and are very unsightly. I do physical labor and that is when they appear the most. I am over 60. I visited a dermatologist and she told me they were "bruises" but I HATE them.

I have not fallen or bumped myself and I live alone. My arm below my elbow felt sore and I looked in a mirror and I have what looks like a bruise the size of a half dollar. Near this under my skin there is a spot that feels like a slippery marble and it is very sore. I can find nothing on line that explains this or gives any helpful information at all. My doctor is on vacation and I do not want to go to the ER for this.

At a party where I had consumed some wine, I was showing a friend how I balance on my knees on a 65 cm stability ball with a set of 10 pound dumbbells and do lateral raises. Because of the wine, I lost my balance and fell off, crashing into a nearby weight bench.

My bruises are not like the ones in the photos, or like any I've seen; they are small and black and in places where bruising doesn't seem reasonable (arch of foot, side of foot). I am taking clarithromycin, but no mention of bruising or bleeding in side effects.
