Cervicitis (cont.)

Cervicitis Treatment

Patient Comments

Infectious causes of cervicitis such as gonorrhea and chlamydia, are treated with prescription antibiotics. Depending on the cause, you may be given antiviral agents, such as acyclovir (Zovirax), to treat genital herpes.

If the infection has become widespread, admission to the hospital may be necessary.
