At first it felt like when a sty is coming and was a little painful. However, now after about 7 weeks it is not painful just a little unsightly.

Have had Chalazion on both eyes, one on lower lid and one on upper, I know they say they are generally not painful, however both I have had were extremely painful.

I had one on both upper eye lids, I had them both surgically removed and it honestly wasn't that bad, dot listen to people when they say it's the most painful thing ever because it really isn't. Must Read Articles Related to Chalazion (Lump in Eyelid)

I have been getting chalazion's for the last 4 years and have discovered that they appear about 10 days after I stop exercising aerobically and start to drain as soon as I resume exercising (and disappear within 48 hours). I have not heard about anyone else who has had the same experience but it makes sense to me. My theory is that, in much the same way that a warm compress works, exercise raises the body's temperature and naturally clears the blockage. I can actually feel it start to drain the first time I work out and it will continue to drain for the rest of the night.
