I am having a hard time with doctors. I have had c-diff it lasted 3 months. Ever since then I have stayed nauseous. In the past month I now have hairy tongue, low grade fevers fatigue and mucousy loose stools. I have just had recent blood work as well as stool checks for parasites, bacteria in blood, and even wbc. Everything has come back normal. My physician sent meet to a gastro and she wants to treat me for acid reflux. I have NO symptoms of any reflux sore throat none. I do have just about every symptom of colitis and even have had the c-diff that can cause it. I feel helpless I'm physically exhausted and do not know what to do. I am 23 years old. For the past week I had an ache in my stomach and it seemed like every time I went to the bathroom even if it was just to pee I would have diarrhea. A few days ago the pain in my abdominal area was so bad I told my fiancé to take me to the ER. So we went and they took a urine sample and blood. The doctor pressed on my stomach a lot too. I was give Zofran which is for nausea. The doctor suspects infectious colitis and gave me Cipro and Flagyl, two antibiotics. I have Bern taking them and still have the aches as well as a swollen stomach. I've gained 10lbs in a week. Colitis, crohns disease and colon cancer all run in the family. The next step is a colonoscopy which I am petrified for.
