I was raking leaves in my backyard about two weeks ago and in about one day my feet broke out and started bleeding because of the insatiable itch. The day after that, I had a rash on both arms and shoulders; underneath my armpits and on my upper chest. I went to ER and they gave me a steroid pack and antibiotics. It almost cleared up but when I ran out of medicine it has returned with a vengeance. This is where I am at now. Had my doctor order me another steroid pack and have just started. Will let you know how I made out. Related Reading: bleeding | rash | antibiotics

If I use the nicotine patches, I break out in small blisters in the shape of the patch, which means I cannot use them or any medication that uses the transdermal delivery system. Related Reading: nicotine

My condition has followed me since I was 7 and now I am 23 years old. I had all the patch testing and was told to avoid almost everything with oil or that smells good, even metal. Nothing helps. The skin seems to get thicker over the years and has spread from my checks all over my face and chest and head. I shave my hair so I can scrub the skin. The skin mutates overnight as a thick scab. What a night mare. I don't date due to the redness of my skin.

I broke out in a rash on my left leg three weeks ago, and now it has spread to my right leg and both arms. Its looks very red and itches like fire. I went to see a doctor, and was given a shot to relieve the itching. It has helped some, but the rash remains.

On my eyelids and at the corners of my eyes I will have swollen areas that are very tender to the touch and very red. I thought it might be eye makeup. Since I refuse to omit eye makeup, I tried making sure that my face is well covered when I use hair spray and that has helped. I am also trying different eye liners and mascara.
