Prevention

  • Wear gloves to protect hands.
  • Make sure shoes and socks fit properly and do not rub.
  • Wear felt pads over bony points where there is increased friction to the skin.
  • Surgically correct bony abnormalities.
  • Keep hands and feet moisturized.
