I am 75 and I had a bypass six years ago. Twice I have awakened in the middle of the night with severe dizziness. I am sweating and nauseous. I have to crawl to the bathroom. After throwing up I get the chills and have to lay on the floor for several hours until the dizziness passes and I can get back into bed. Doctors gave me an EKG and said there was no abnormality.

Sometimes when I get out of bed the room doesn't spin I just feel like everything is out of balance. I feel a slight headache and nausea and I feel like I am shaking but it is not evident to look at my hands, it just feels like it. The first time it happened was right after I got out of bed. The weather has been warm and hot, warm and cold and I keep blaming it onto my sinuses. Also when I bend over my head feels really heavy.

I started getting dizzy when I changed position in bed yesterday. I slept most of the day. It was the same feeling you get when you drink too much, but I don't drink.

I slipped on ice hit the back of my head and was out for 5 minutes. This happened 18 years ago and I still suffer from dizzy spells most days!

I was recently diagnosed with BPV. I fell one day then a few days later I got so dizzy. It was terrible. My eyes would go all crazy when I moved my head to one side. My ENT did the Epley Maneuvers I felt so much better after. During was hell because it makes you dizzy but it's worth it.

I am 62 and have experienced lightheaded/dizziness spells for a couple of years. Usually occur when I get up from sitting and take a couple of steps. Sometimes I need to grab a door jam or railing until the spell passes. These episodes happen after I vigorously workout and sweat. I rehydrate with sports drinks and food. Yesterday after driving 30 minutes I felt great until I got out of my car and started walking and nearly fell. It took a couple minutes to pass. I have had 3 exercise stress tests and been examined everything is OK. I will try avoiding jumping from my seat and stand by my seat until the dizziness passes.

At 48 I had vertigo and took the only pill available. It worked and all was okay. By the age of 50 it was back and the pill didn't work. I have had varying degrees of dizziness ever since. The only time I have been totally free of being dizzy was after a chiropractors visit. When I went in I was dizzy, but when I came out I was not and had no problems for 3 days. It came back and has never gone away. The more anxious I get the worse the dizziness gets.

It was lightheadedness and took 18 months before my doctors figured out I have ocular migraines. A migraine diet helped this.

When I feel very dizzy, I almost like I'm fainting and woozy, kind of like I'm on a boat.

Three times today, when bending over to work on a object below my knee level, I had a dizzy spell that lasted for a few seconds. I had to grab on to something to stabilize myself. I am 77 years old and quite active in downhill skiing, golf and mountain biking. I had successful bypass surgery 14 months ago with no limits placed on my activities.
