I had the flu or something like it two months ago, for which I was given Tamiflu, which helped. But some respiratory symptoms remained, for which I was given a series of antibiotics -- but none worked. In the middle of this series of antibiotics, I began to feel dizzy -- feelings of vertigo, or spinning. My doctor prescribed antihistamines and decongestants, but nothing took away the dizziness. A week ago my doctor referred me to an allergist, whose opinion is that my problems stem from allergies. He prescribed a series of injections, plus a nasal antihistamine spray, plus washing nasal passages with salt water. To date, the nasal washing seems to help some. But the dizziness still remains, especially when I rise up, bend over or lie down. I don't know where to go next.

I just found this site and was looking to see if anyone sounded like me. My dizziness started with a few spells' one right after I was swimming laps and another while I was on the computer. The next think I knew was I woke up dizzy - and it never went away. My dizziness does not feel like the room is moving around me, but more like I have movement in my head. In the beginning I would wake up (after having a hard time going to sleep because I was dizzy - like a hamster running around in there) and be so dizzy that I would throw up. I discovered that it was caused by changes in atmospheric pressure. I would try to hold my head still, but it didn't help. Being in stores bothered me. I was very sensitive to light and sound (I still am when there is a change in atmospheric pressure). I had a number of test done - cat scans, MRI's, balance tests, rotation chair, etc. I ended up with a diagnosis of endolymphatic hydrops of which meneres is a form. Treatment is a low salt diet (hard to do when you have a family) and a diuretic. I can no longer take the meds. Not all doctors agreed with the diagnosis, so who really knows. I am still dizzy 24/7 with better days now as it has been almost 9 years. If I thought I would have this forever when it started I don't know what I would have done. If anyone has what sounds like this, please comment.

When I get dizzy, I get a slight buzz in the head and then a chill through my body that lasts a second or two.

I am still not fully aware of why this is happening as of yet, but I have felt extremely dizzy as I have tried to prepare dinner and ended up slicing my thumb with a knife. I don't get up swiftly. I don't do anything swiftly, and yet seems to be getting worse. I have had sweaty periods and I have been hot when I shouldn't be. My head is real warm and my hands and feet are cold, I have been having terrible headaches as well.

Upon tilting my head back and to my left I experience buzzing and dizziness. I was taking Vagifem for 2 months and I quit taking it 3 weeks ago. The dizziness seems to be getting better slowly.

I am always so dizzy, but today is pretty bad. I usually am dizzy on and off but this seems to have a hold of me today. I have gone to the doctor for it and they never can find what's wrong with me. It's very frustrating I know the dizziness isn't in my head.

I have had very bad headaches and occasional dizziness. It's as if my vision goes blurry for just a few seconds. I have had anemia in the past; I almost had to get a blood transfusion once. I have pernicious anemia and an underactive thyroid. I feel so tired all the time. I lead a very busy life looking after three kids, working full-time and trying to do all the housework.

I have had three lower back laminectomies. The last one left me with femoral nerve damage (significant) and pain in my left groin area. I do a lot of gardening and have noticed that each time I rise upright from a squatting position that I get dizzy and light-headed. I need to bend slightly over to recover faster. I do not need to squat more than a few seconds to bring on the light-headedness.

I was standing on the deck of the house and I suddenly started feeling faint. It was hard to keep my eyes open, so I sat down and everything became better. I felt some tingling in my left arm the next day, but I wasn't sick, I just didn't feel all that well. I slept well that night and I got up feeling better the next day. No headaches.
