I get bouts of dizziness and daily headaches and I sometimes feel as though my legs are empty. I have had a stent fitted for a narrow artery in the heart, and the only medication I take now is aspirin and a statin. I have been discharged by my heart specialist and I have been referred to a neurologist. I have also had a brain scan, which shows nothing.

When I turn my head to the left or standing up or when I lay down and turn my head to the left. I will get extremely dizzy like I am going to pass out but never do. Also sweat at times and my shins feel hot. I also keep getting diarrhea. I will have pressure in my stomach and start burping with a real bad taste then the diarrhea will start.

My symptoms started with a painful lump near my jaw bone, and I thought this was an abscess under my wisdom tooth and that maybe this was causing my dizziness. I took a antibiotic for five days and the pain and lump has gone but still my dizziness continues. Like this morning while driving to work, the whole world started spinning and I had to pull over and wait until I could re-focus and then continue to drive till I got to work, I feel very unbalanced and lightheaded.

I have had a problem with falling for six years. It started with small falls backwards and developed into falls forward where I hurt my mouth, broke my nose and busted my teeth. It is a very frustrating challenge in my life. I have had all the medical tests one could have for dizziness and they all come up normal except I know I am hypoglocemic and I have low blood pressure. I eat protein every three hours and I take my low blood pressure medicine, but still have the dizzy feeling. My world is never spinning. I just feel light-headed and then fall. I am taking some homeopathic medicine that has helped some, but I am so ready to be free of worries of falling.

I'm experiencing severe dizziness, which started a while ago, and has gradually gotten worse. It's at the point now where I'm missing days at work. I've had a problem with panic attacks for years; some days I'm ok, and on others, I get in a right old state!! But this dizziness is a new thing for me. It's downright awful. I mean, I literally have to hold onto things to get around. Whenever I mention this to my doctor, the same old diagnosis is given. “It's a panic attack,” he says. It seems so easy for them to make me feel like this is all in my head, but I know it's real. The thing that has made me want to know more about it is it started happening when I'm driving, and I know that can't be good. I'm due to see my doctor again this week, and I want this investigated. I'm so fed up of it happening.

I started mowing my lawn recently. I bent down to remove some weeds and felt really dizzy. It was frightening. I had to sit down for a while because it would not go away. The same thing happened again today. I got back from vacation and the grass was really tall. I went outside to do some gardening and I got dizzy but this time it was actually worse than the first time. I had not eaten breakfast because I am a late eater and it was not that hot outside. I can't help but wonder why this is happening so frequently and all of a sudden. It subsided after my neighbor brought me inside and gave me a glass of orange juice.

I started getting slight waves of dizziness or lightheadedness a few months ago, and it has continued to worsen slightly. It usually occurs when I turn my head, look or bend down, or when I lay down ... I get a big wave, and it subsides. However today, as I write this, I have been experiencing a steady sense of it all day long (the waves of dizziness, a non-stop "buzzed" feeling in my head, eyes wavering). I have hypoglycemia, but I know what triggers that, and I haven't been consuming more sugar or caffeine than usual. And I know I'm not pregnant. I feel as though I've been drugged or something. My hair has also been falling out in massive quantities during pretty much this same timeframe, perhaps a bit longer (since end of March, beginning of April 2009). I'm just wondering if these two things might be related in any way. I've been seeing an endocrinologist about my hair for over a year, and he was only focusing on getting my thyroid levels adjusted, which they are. I've seen my regular doctor who doesn't know what it could be. I've seen a dermatologist who diagnosed it as Telugen Effluvium and said that it normally takes 6-12 months to recover and that I should take Vitamin B, Biotin, and use Rogaine. All my blood work has come back "normal", and although I am almost 48, I don't seem to be going into menopause yet. And I haven't seen a doctor yet about the dizziness because it hasn't really bothered me much until just today! Please HELP, as both of these issues are really starting to scare me! Thanks so much, Lynn Hoffman
