What is chloroxylenol and pramoxine otic (Pramotic, Uni-Otic Ear Drops)?Chloroxylenol is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in your body. Pramoxine is an anesthetic. It is used to reduce itching and pain caused by ear infections. The combination of chloroxylenol and pramoxine otic (for the ears) is used to treat ear infections. Chloroxylenol and pramoxine otic may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Do not use other ear drops during treatment with chloroxylenol and pramoxine otic unless your doctor tells you to. Call your doctor if your infection does not improve, or if you have ear pain, burning or itching, hearing problems, or ear drainage or discharge.
