What happens if I miss a dose ()?Lindane topical is only applied once, so you are not likely to miss a dose. What happens if I overdose ()?Seek emergency medical attention. Symptoms of an oral or topical lindane overdose include tremors, excitation, agitation, seizures, and possibly death. What should I avoid while using lindane topical ()?Avoid sexual or intimate contact with others until the infection has been cured. Also avoid sharing hair combs, hair accessories, hats, clothing, bed linens, and other articles of personal use. The infections are highly contagious. Do not use more of this medication than is recommended. Using more than the prescribed amount of lindane topical may cause seizures or other dangerous side effects. Do not apply this medication to the face, eyes, nose, or mouth. Flush with water if you get medication in any of these areas. Seek medical attention if lindane topical is ingested or if irritation is persistent. Do not apply lindane topical to open cuts or wounds. Doing so could cause too much medication to be absorbed by the body, which could be very dangerous. To prevent reinfection, wash all clothing, hats, bed clothes, bed linens, hair brushes, and combs in hot water with a strong cleanser. What other drugs will affect lindane topical ()?Do not apply other topical preparations to the affected area during treatment with lindane topical. Lindane topical should not be used with other medications that increase the risk of seizures. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist before using lindane topical if you are taking any other prescription or over-the-counter medicines, including herbal products.
