What should I avoid while taking magnesium amino acids chelate (Chelated Magnesium, MG Plus Protein)?Avoid using antacids or laxatives without your doctor's advice. Use only the specific type of antacid your doctor recommends. These medications may contain minerals and if you take certain products together you may get too much magnesium. If you are taking a tetracycline antibiotic, avoid taking it within 2 hours before or 3 hours after you take magnesium amino acids chelate. Tetracycline antibiotics include doxycycline (Adoxa, Alodox, Avidoxy, Oraxyl, Doryx, Oracea, Vibramycin), minocycline (Dynacin, Minocin, Solodyn), or tetracycline (Ala-Tet, Brodspec, Panmycin, Sumycin, Tetracap).
