- Avoid fatty foods
- Avoid spicy foods
- Avoid acidic foods and beverages such as citrus and tomatoes
- Eat smaller meals
- Eat soft foods that are easily digested
- Avoid coffee (even decaffeinated), alcohol, soda, and chocolate
