Glycine

How does Glycine work?

The body uses glycine to make proteins. Glycine is also involved in the transmission of chemical signals in the brain.

Are there safety concerns?

Glycine is usually well-tolerated. Rarely nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset have been reported.

Do not use glycine if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
