I have had heat rash for about the last couple of months. I live in a hot, humid environment and spend a great deal of time outside. My affected areas are under my bra and where my panties are. It is so aggravating because due to my needing to be outside, the rash never has gone away despite cleansing, powders, and even antibiotic cream. If I were able to be indoors all the time, I am sure it would be gone. However, I am required to be outside in the humidity. I have been outdoors in this climate all my life and this is the first I have ever had this affliction. Hopefully with the cooler weather upon us this rash will go away.

I have just returned from holiday and experienced a severe case of heat rash. Unfortunately even though I was taking allergy tablets and keeping cool it worsened and after 5 days I ended up in hospital with my whole body covered, which was extremely red, itchy and sore. After 6 hours on a drip of antihistamine solution it began to ease and I was given an antihistamine cream along with a local steroid cream to mix together and put on the rash and it cleared it up within the next day. I was the able to spend my second week in the sun with no further problems.

I got my first case 2 years ago while in the Dominican Republic. It covered my whole body and I was told there were bacteria in the sand that caused it. It took 1 month to clear up. I got it again last year June after I had my daughter. I got it again last week all over my arms. It's very red and itchy, and nothing works on it. Whatever I try seems to irritate it more. Currently using a combo of diaper rash cream and anti-itch lotion, which seems to keep the itching and spreading down.

When I get heat rash, I itch mainly behind my knees, in my armpits, and on my inner thighs. When I sleep it gets worse because of the heat my body is producing and I seem to sweat in my sleep. I do take an antihistamine and it does seem to help some with the itching.

Every time my skin is exposed to the sun, I develop heat rash. I just returned from the Caribbean and suffered my worse case ever, rash on my face, arms chest and neck. My face was also swollen, not sure if this was due to the sun or something I ate, my face now is very dry, red and sore. My doctor prescribed an emollient and Hydrocortisone 2% cream, so I hope they work. Related Reading: Hydrocortisone

I have looked at every picture on the internet showing heat rash. Mine is the worst I have seen yet. I have used Benadryl gel and pills. I have had it for a week now and just can't shake it. I have even taken vinegar bathes. It feels like I fell into a bed of fire ants. It does not itch. Just burns and feels prickly. Related Reading: burns

I get heat rash every "summer" only on my arms. I find using hydrocortisone cream 2x daily and washing arms every few hours with cold water and dove soap. I also take an allergy tablet daily. It doesn't disappear quickly but gets less noticeable after 3 days i.e can still feel it the tiny blisters but at least doesn't look so YUCK! Must Read Articles Related to Heat Rash
