Hit in the eye by end of a flying, snapping bungee cord. Very severe hit directly to the right eye. No vision, an eight ball eye. Big black ball of blood right on top of where the pupil would be. Now 4 days later I am starting to be able to see through it just a little, just fuzzy light and mostly shadows. Really awful.

I was in an automobile accident. The airbag crushed my glasses into my face leaving scratches the shape of my frames and a hyphema in my left eye. Related Reading: hyphema

We do not know the cause of my mother's hyphema but it suspiciously occurred the day after laser surgery to "zap" bubbles that had formed around the upper edge of her eye. Her doctor claims it is unrelated but she immediately had pain and blurred vision following the surgery. 7 days later and nothing has improved. She's taking steroid eye drops 4 times a day but so far no change.

My 14 year old son was hit in the right eye with a soccer ball in gym at school. At first he had no vision in the eye. Later that evening he could see shadows and light. The next day he saw colors and on the third day his vision was pretty much restored. Today is day 4 and he says it's like looking through dirty glasses.

If you think you have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

I fell a week ago and hit the right side of my face very hard. My face is bruised and I have a black and red eye. This morning I noticed a bit of red inside my right eye just on the white under my pupils. I already saw my Dr. and had a CT scan of my face.
