Iceland Moss

How does Iceland Moss work?

Iceland moss seems to have a soothing action. It might also reduce the growth of bacteria.

Are there safety concerns?

Iceland moss seems safe for most people when taken short-term. It is unsafe when used in large amounts because lead contamination can occur in the plant.

Iceland moss is regulated in the United States, and is allowed only as a flavoring agent in alcoholic beverages.

Do not use Iceland moss if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have an ulcer in the stomach.
  • You have an ulcer in the small intestine.
