Jewelweed

How does Jewelweed work?

Jewelweed is said to aid digestion and increase the loss of body water through the urine (diuretic effect), but there isn't scientific information to back these claims. It is not known how jewelweed might work for medicinal uses.

Are there safety concerns?

Jewelweed is possibly safe for most people when taken by mouth or used on the skin. It is not known what the potential side effects might be.

Do not use jewelweed if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
