Lens-Particle Glaucoma (cont.)

Outlook

With appropriately timed medical and surgical intervention for lens-particle glaucoma, prognosis is generally good and complications are minimized. Following an episode of lens-particle glaucoma, particularly if lens particles have been reabsorbed, some people may develop chronic open-angle glaucoma. For this reason, regular eye examinations with an ophthalmologist are very important.
