USES: This medication is used to stop excessive uterine bleeding after childbirth or after early discontinuation of pregnancy.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not take larger doses, more often, or longer than instructed.

SIDE EFFECTS: Some nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, or dizziness may occur. These should go away as your body adjusts to the medication. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, blurred vision, convulsions, shortness of breath, coldness in your hands or feet. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have a history of: heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney problems, liver problems, blood vessel disease, circulation problems, allergies. This drug should not be used during pregnancy. This medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, numbness and tingling of fingers and toes, and seizures.
