Prevention

Though good personal hygiene makes sense, especially among teenagers, the Epstein-Barr virus is everywhere, and exposure to it cannot be entirely avoided.

  • People with mononucleosis do not need to be isolated from others.


  • Vaccines against EBV do not currently exist.
