Follow-up

Patients who survive necrotizing fasciitis often require follow-up with various specialists, depending on the complications encountered during their hospital course and the subsequent results. Many patients require skin grafting and/or reconstructive surgery, as well as physical therapy and rehabilitation. Psychological intervention is sometimes needed for certain patients who may experience depression, anxiety, or other psychological repercussions.
