My daughter is almost 15 and we have been dealing with ovarian cyst issues for 6 months. Countless trips to the emergency department, enough CT scans to make her glow in the dark, Lortab, and morphine. She dropped out of school, and is now homeschooling. She has debilitating pain, sweats, black outs, nausea and the list goes on. We finally have an exploratory surgery scheduled for the 19th of this month. But in the meantime, she cries half the day from the pain. No medicines even take the edge off anymore. Her doctor is not overly concerned with her pain. I suspect it would be different if he had a cyst on his testicle but in the meantime we wait it out. Gynecological services for young women in this part of the country is sadly lacking.
