Peony

How does Peony work?

Peony might block chemicals produced by the body that can cause muscle cramps. It also may prevent blood clotting and act as an antioxidant.

Are there safety concerns?

Peony appears to be safe for short-term use. It can cause stomach upset. It can cause rash when it comes in contact with the skin of sensitive people.

Do not take peony if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have a bleeding disorder.
  • You are scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. Peony might increase the risk of bleeding.
