How does Picrorhiza work?

More information is needed to know how picrorhiza might work. Picrorhiza contains chemicals that might stimulate the immune system, kill cancer cells, and relieve inflammation.

Are there safety concerns?

Picrorhiza seems safe for most people, when taken short-term. It can cause vomiting, rash, anorexia, diarrhea, and itching.

Do not take picrorhiza if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have an immune system disease such as multiple sclerosis (MS), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), or other autoimmune diseases.
