Pleurisy Root

How does Pleurisy Root work?

There isn't enough information to know how pleurisy root might work.

Are there safety concerns?

Pleurisy root does not appear to be safe because it contains a potent chemical that is similar to the prescription drug digoxin (Lanoxin). It might cause serious heart problems. Pleurisy root also can cause side effects such as nausea and vomiting, and skin rash.

Do not take pleurisy root if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • You have heart problems.
