Endoscopy for GiardiasisEndoscopy for GiardiasisEndoscopy is a test in which a lighted viewing tube (endoscope) is passed down the throat (esophagus), through the stomach, and into the upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). After the viewing tube is in the small intestine, it can be used to obtain a sample of the contents of the small intestine (duodenal fluid). This sample can then be tested to see if the Giardia parasite is present. Credits
