Who Is Affected by Paget's Disease

Paget's disease is the second most common bone disease. (Osteoporosis is the most common.)

Paget's disease:

  • Is found most often in people living in Western Europe (Britain, France, and Germany) or people of Western European descent.1
  • Is rare in people younger than 40 and is most common in people who are older than 50.2 The risk of developing this disease increases as a person ages.
