Transcutaneous Blood Oxygen MonitorA transcutaneous blood oxygen monitor is used to help doctors find out whether a person needs supplemental oxygen or an adjustment to the amount of supplemental oxygen they are already receiving. A sensor attached to the person's finger connects to a machine that gives a reading of the oxygen level in the person's blood. This test does not require taking a sample of a person's blood.
