Premature EjaculationPremature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual intercourse begins. Ejaculation occurs before the person wishes it, with minimal sexual stimulation. Premature ejaculation is the most common form of male sexual dysfunction. The cause is often unclear. But it may be related to lack of sexual experience, psychological factors such as anxiety or depression, or, in some cases, a medical problem or a side effect of medicines. Treatment of premature ejaculation depends on the cause of the problem and may include counseling, behavior therapy, or, in some cases, medicines that delay or inhibit orgasm.
