Medical History for Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip

Medical History for Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip

To help find out if your baby has developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), the doctor may ask you whether or not:

  • Other family members have had DDH.
  • Your baby was born with his or her buttocks first (breech).
  • You swaddle your baby or use a cradle board.
  • You have noticed that one of your baby's legs is shorter than the other.
