Definition of Ginger

Ginger: A perennial tropical herb that has been used as a treatment for nausea and bowel spasms.

Ginger may lead to blood thinning. It is therefore best not taken with medications that prevent blood clotting (anticoagulants) such as warfarin (Coumadin).
