Definition of Dermatan sulfate
Dermatan sulfate: An glycosaminoglycan (formerly called a mucopolysaccharide) found mostly in skin but also in blood vessels, the heart valves, tendons, and the lungs. Dermatan sulfate accumulates abnormally in several of the mucopolysaccharidosis disorders.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
