Definition of Mucopolysaccharidosis type I

Mucopolysaccharidosis type I: Hurler syndrome, Scheie syndrome, and Hurler-Scheie syndrome. All three of these syndromes are due to varying degrees of deficiency of the enzyme alpha-L-iduronidase. See also: Mucopolysaccharidosis.
