Definition of Carrier test
Carrier test: A test designed to detect carriers of a gene for a recessive genetic disorder. For example, carrier testing is done for the sickle cell trait, thalassemia trait, and Tay-Sachs gene.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
