Definition of Gastropathy

Gastropathy: Disease of the stomach, as in hypoproteinemic hypertrophic gastropathy. Gastropathy comes from gastro- referring to the stomach + the Greek pathos meaning disease. Pronounced gas-trop-a-the with the emphasis on the trop.
