Definition of Thymosin
Thymosin: One of several polypeptide hormones secreted by the thymus that control the maturation of T cells. They are derived from a polypeptide called prothymosin-alpha (PTMA) or alpha thymosin.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
