Definition of Right-handed

Right-handed: The preferential use of the right hand for most fine manual tasks. Approximately 90% of the population is right-handed. In French, the word for right is droit and the word for left is gauche meaning clumsy or awkward. In Latin the word for right is dexter (as in dexterity) and the word for left is sinister. Lefties have historically been seen as abnormal.
