Definition of Parietal lobe

Parietal lobe: Part of the brain, specifically the section of the cerebral hemisphere that lies beneath the parietal bone, the main side bone of the skull.

The word "parietal" comes from the Latin "parietalis" meaning "belonging to the wall."
