Definition of Reabsorption
Reabsorption: Being absorbed again. For example, the kidney selectively reabsorbs substances it has already secreted into the renal tubules, such as glucose, protein, and sodium. These reabsorbed substances are returned to the blood.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
