Definition of Reverse transcriptase
Reverse transcriptase: An enzyme that permits DNA to be made, using RNA as the template. A retrovirus, such as the HIV virus, can propagate itself by converting its RNA into DNA with reverse transcriptase.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
