Definition of Filovirus
Filovirus: A virus in the family filoviridae that causes hemorrhagic fever. Filoviruses have single-stranded RNA as their genetic material. Ebola virus and the Marburg virus are both filoviruses.Source: MedTerms™ Medical Dictionary
