I had a colonoscopy done on August 31 and the doctor removed three polyps, two large and one small. Everything was fine until later on that night when I began to bleed from my rectum huge amounts of blood and clots that went on all night. I felt fine so I didn't go to the emergency room (ER). The next morning I ended up in the ER for 8 hours. I got 2 tap water enemas and another colonoscopy to repair what didn't heal where the doctor removed the biggest polyp. I was sent home right away since the bleeding stopped and my blood counts were normal. Through it all I never felt bad at all which surprises me. I swore I'd never get another colonoscopy but I decided I will do it again in 3 years..

My husband died from gastrointestinal bleeding, which I sincerely believe was caused by all the medications he was taking. .
