    GENERIC NAME: SODIUM CHLORIDE - NASAL SPRAY (SO-dee-um KLOR-ide)

    USES: This medication is used to treat dry nasal passages (nostrils).

    HOW TO USE: Spray this medication into the nose (each nostril) as needed; or use as directed by your doctor. To use the nasal spray, place the tip of the container just inside the nostril. Be careful not to touch the container to the inside of the nose. After spraying this medication, breathe deeply through the nose several times to be sure the medication reaches deep into the nose.

    SIDE EFFECTS: Stinging, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, or salty taste may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: frequent nosebleeds. If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: allergies (especially drug allergies). Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: other nose sprays, decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    OVERDOSE: Not applicable.

    NOTES: Do not share this medication with others. Doing so may increase the risk of infection.

    MISSED DOSE: Not applicable.

    STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
