Postoperative CareIf you undergo weight loss surgery, you will continue to receive close medical care for the rest of your life. Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding will require more frequent visits for band adjustment. Postoperative dietary (including vitamin, mineral, and possibly liquid protein supplementation), exercise, and lifestyle changes should be reinforced by counseling, support groups, and working with your primary care physician.
