Threonine

How does Threonine work?

Threonine is changed in the body to a chemical called glycine. Glycine works in the brain to reduce spasticity.

Are there safety concerns?

Threonine seems to be safe when taken by mouth. Some people experience minor side effects such as stomach upset, headache, nausea, and skin rash.

Don't use threonine if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
